Bike and Hike Festival
The town of Betws-y-Coed in the heart of
Snowdonia National Park is hosting a festival of fun
aimed at everyone who enjoys biking and hiking. It doesn't
matter if you enjoy hard core mountain biking and scrambling
over jagged peaks, or prefer cycle touring, or rambling
through beautiful surroundings; our festival aims to
provide something for everyone.
We
will of course have guided rides and hikes. Betws and
Llanrwst, our neighbouring village, are both near
the Gwydyr Forest and the Marin Trail, a technical and
long mountain bike trail raved about by all who do it.
Snowdonia National park is also home to the highest mountain
in England and Wales, Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa as it known
in Welsh. There are many rugged hills here and some of
the most stunning forest and lake walks to be found anywhere
in the UK. Our guides, all local and some Welsh speaking
are qualified and are massively enthusiastic, they will
be able to give you lots of advice and take you to some
of the less well known spots during your tour.
There will be tours aimed at families
The website below has the details
for the 2005 festival. We expect it will be shortly updated
with the 2006 progr amme.
